Oh, Santa. When will you ever learn?

Drawn on December 23, 2004, from 0152hrs to 0216hrs.

A 24 Minute Comic is NZ cartoonist Brent Willis' variation on Scott McCloud's more famous "24 Hour Comic" in which 24 pages are drawn in a 24 hour period. In the case of the 24 Minute Comic, one piece of A4 paper is folded into 24 equal pages and then the artist has 24 MINUTES to create some kind of cartoony story on as many of the 24 pages as their speed-drawing skills will allow.
Mere minutes after hearing about the 24 Minute Comic, I had to give it a go - after all, it's only 24 minutes! An A4 page of comics would usually consume at least an hour of my time, so this nothing. Comments: I was going to go back to the "Yippee-kai-yay" frame when I could think of a witty Christmassy word to put instead of the expletive in the original quote - "Yippee-kai-yay, motherf***er" - as heard from the mouth of Bruce Willis (any relation to Brent? I don't know), but I couldn't think of anything witty. I didn't have time to go back and put an exclamation mark or even so much as a fullstop at the end of it. And so it remains amusingly incomplete, or at least amusing to anyone who knows the original quote.

Hollywood will be producing the action movie adaptation of this book for December 2005. Guess who they've already cast as Santa. Also featuring Orlando Bloom as one of the Elves.

Merry Christmas!
